I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been in the human services for 13 years. I believe everyone is unique and deserving of love, empathy and compassion. I have worked in group homes, schools and clinical settings but my love is to be outside breathing the fresh air. I utilize meditation, person centered therapy, art and music therapy and solution focused therapy. You can choose between individual or group therapy. Comfort and confidentiality are the foundations of our sessions.
Walk-talk therapy is a connection between mind, body and nature aimed at enhancing the benefits of talk therapy. Walking can reduce stress, help you breathe deeply and release tension while processing thoughts,experiences, and emotion. Walking side by side instead of face to face can enable some clients to feel more safe and comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. Additionally, exercise naturally produces endorphins, which trigger a positive feeling in the body to help you feel happier.

6 Week Group Sessions
Groups will be solution focused and run on a six week schedule. Participants will walk and talk together focusing on a specific topic such as COVID impact on their lives and relationships, anxiety, teen groups, new mom groups, etc. New moms can bring their children so they don't have to worry about childcare.

What will the sessions be like?
We will have an initial virtual session to meet, discuss goals and set a location to walk. Be it a park, a neighborhood or a downtown plaza convenient to your work, we will walk side by side. We’ll discuss what is on your mind that day and see how it pertains to your overall goals, just as if we were in an office setting. Periodically, we may take a few moments to silently reflect, deeply breathe, or sit for a guided visualization. If you feel comfortable, I will guide you through some gentle stretches. By the end, you will have gained some understanding, and notice a reduction in your stress and anxiety. There is never pressure about pace or duration. You set the pace and I match it.

What will the sessions be like?
We will have an initial phone session to meet, discuss goals and decide which group is the most beneficial for you. When you're part of a group you get the benefit of knowing you're not alone. The groups will be between 4-8 members, and we will meet at a designated location and walk together. I will guide the conversation on topics that pertain to the groups overall goals. Periodically, we may take a few moments to silently reflect, deeply breathe, or sit for a guided visualization. If you feel comfortable, I will guide you through some gentle stretches. By the end you will have gained some understanding, and notice a reduction in your stress and anxiety. There is never pressure about pace or duration. Together we will walk as one.
